Robert & Anne Schmit Grant
Community Foundation for Delta County Board of Trustee Members Mr. Nick Chenier and Mr. Todd Maki present a check in the amount of $4,753.58 to Fr. Tim Ferguson of St. Joseph-St. Patricks’ Church.
Mr. Chenier commented, “The gift to the St. Joseph-St. Patricks’ Church is from the annual distribution of an endowed fund Robert and Anne Schmit started within and by the Community Foundation for Delta County, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of the Upper Peninsula. The couple were longtime members of the parish.”
“Robert and Anne Schmit were well known members of the community and placed an endowment in the community foundation to continue their philanthropy to several organizations and causes after their passing. Our community owes Mr. & Mrs. Schmit a deep debt of gratitude,” said Mr. Todd Maki.
“Mr. & Mrs. Schmit were supportive of our parish while they were alive and we are extremely grateful that they have remembered our church with their annual gift,” stated Fr. Ferguson.
